didn't get it but ah well maybe next time

well if you dont already know i didnt get the web design job at cgsociety... ah well i was hoping cause it would of been my two major passions rolled into one but i dont think i effectivly communicated that when ever i talk about cgsociety its always been about the artside and rarely how this website functions i mean it does function well but there could be a few tweaks or so from a users prospective hehe maybe next time

it was great to see Tim and Alan again... i meet them after being invited to be apart of john derrys enotorage when he came to adelaide to give a master class demonstration.

So not much else is new going back to the beach more now that the weather is heating up again. We're in the middle of a heatwave at the momement which is nice but not so nice when i have to drive my car in 39C degrees and the airconditioning dont work properly. As in that it blows air and its warm air cause the car is warm and its hot outside. I have to get a part replaced. I think its a common thing in australia your car must have air con or just try and avoid driving all through summer which aint going to happen cause our public transport system - well i think its non exsistant and compared to all you bigger city dwellers that use public transport like your life depended on it I think you would be comitting suicide if you tried to use ours ... no joke its that bad.

I'm trying to find time to paint but i think i need to get a laptop so i can do two jobs at work (answer helpdesk calls and do web stuff) and then when i get home paint untill my eyes no longer function .. proberly wont help that i have just fell inlove with the tv show dexter

if you dont know dexter then i suggest you get your arses over to tv.com and look it up. Its a brilliant sick show about a serial killer that kills other bad people (other killers) which really makes one thing is this a good thing or is this a bad thing i mean he is killing other people which is bad but he is killing only other killers so is he actually really contributing to the greater good because he is killing killers that are killing innocent people. I am at the conclusion that he is actually contributing to the greater good as he is saving potential innocent lives that hes victims may of killed. So now the if comes into it... does a person who takes one life get a second chance or should it be multiple offences that would be more substantual evidence that indeed this bad person needs to die. Okay that probably enough for you I dont think you expected to read my blog and have me challenge your inner most moral fiber but if any one is open to discussion i would be more than willing

so bye for now

My new life

Well I have started a new job... I have given up the freelance life it was a little to solitary for my liking and the constant stress of money was just taking a toll plus I want to buy some new toys so kinda need the extra cash.

So now I work on a helpdesk giving technical internet/computer support to rural customers in australia... let me just say its very entertaining. I'm loving it

I havent had much time to paint lately which has really gotten me down just new job... web customers and friends there seems to be little time left. However i know this will change soon as i settle down.

I was also teaching at tafe just being a lecturer in the short night courses but teaching is deffinately harder than it seems. I never actually considered at how much knowledge i had accumilated over the years with dreamweaver and photoshop. I actually supprised myself with the ability to answer all of students questions and troubleshoot and work things out when things went wrong.

When I finally organise my life again which also includes doing sport... i miss it only playing one game of netball per week at the moment and it aint enough running around for me (i've always been addicted to playing sports) I plan to do a living doll series an idea I came up with which is going to take some planning but the ideas have been locked away to put into being on a day i can find time to paint

I hope you all are keeping well and i'm slowly working on my self portrait its changed three times so far ... I wanna paint my best side hehe and I hope you are actually all more active than me in doing painting

Not enough time in a day

For a long time I have felt devoid of any sort of artistic inspiration and it hasn't been good
but now I cant seem to get enough time in my busy work schedule to do more digital art painting!

I have started a new series of some very beautiful ladies one of which shall be me!
So watch out I'll be posting the first real soon and hope to get her into exotique and I hope to finish another one in time too!

I have a interview next week for a part time web designer which is cool I have been freelancing for the past year and so i hope with the part time thing i can find more time to paint instead of worrying about money. So I hope i can get the job.

I love going for job interviews I see it as a game show; your going against other contestants in front of a judge or judges for the grand prize of employment. The judges(prospective employer) asks a series of questions and depending on how good the answer is you obtain imaginary points - the better, more creative or surprising the answer is to the judge the more points and the contestant (interviewee) with the most points wins. When I go in there i think more of my personality comes out when i approach it as a game... a game after all is fun and relaxing so why not apply a game approach to one of the most nerve racking experiences of job hunting. However like all game shows there are rules so you must answer honestly other than that use every weapon in your armory. Fun hey?!

well till next time
take care
love

Art Show & Nerves

Well I have been an invited artist to an Urban art show thats on this weekend
I am finding this really scary as I know of know one who has walked these steps before and the most difficult thing is how am i going to price my artwork.
Do I do a limited no of prints or do I keep the cost down by offering it up for cheaper and hope i get more sales therefore making my money on bulk sales.

I don't know how readily accepted my art will be either. Digital art is relative new to Adelaide even though CGSocety and ballistic are based here but they don't have a huge public profile. I've talked to some people and they think digital art is not as true as traditional art yet probably more time gets put into digital art. So it doesn't give me a lot of confidence and an artist is never truly satisfied with their own work so I feel like I'm taking off on the back leg. I'm sure i'll put on some confidant performance I do have some flash experts who ar putting together a cool slide show to music that might give it the edge.

As for my personal life well that's been disastrous its all in pieces the guy who i was going out with for four and a half years whom i wanted to marry decided to break up with me just before Christmas like the week before So with a shattered heart I'm trying to pull my life back together ever since. Its hard after you have made all these dreams to break them one by one and start over but one day i hope i will get out of bed and not feel sad.

at least i should be able to get a few good emotional pieces from the experience so if my pieces are sad you'll know why

well I better leave you on happier note I'm looking forward to shrek 3 just the pure conversation in the teaser trailer between the prince an Pinocchio is a work of pure brilliance... well i don't know where he's not.....hehe

i hope you can all keep well and have fun
