The Cinderella story - according to my imagination as a true story.
The family was very rich being distant relatives of the crown unfortunately Cinderellas father did die when she was but 5yrs old and left his daughter half his lands as a dowry. Her stepmother had always hated the girl for her inheritance and connections her two daughters also pretty absconded Cinderella for her beauty and thus turned her into a maid so she could not marry a young lord and take her share of the wealth. It wasn't until the Prince's ball when cinderellas aunt who lived on the outskirts of the kingdom came to stay. She was a lady of esteem and come to participate in the celebrations and was outraged at how her only niece had been brought up. However she could not do anything, she was a guest in the house of her late brother who held a higher title which was passed on to Cinderellas stepmother. So being devious and knowing the court would not let a beautiful young lady escape their attention she began to secretly plan that Cinderella would attend the ball and thus being introduced into the court as her fathers daughter giving her the status so long denied her. Her aunt had a dress secretly made of soft purple. The purple would turn the royal family's attention to her niece as purple could only be worn by those who had a blood connection to the royal line. Cinderella would be a maid no longer. Her aunt left her the dress and carriage and strict instructions to leave after her stepmother as only the most important guests arrive last.
This is a picture of Cinderella before she enters the ball and admiring the finery of the castel for the first time.
